Our Summer Celebration 2024

Every few months in the year we organise a huge event in the Metrodome. We’ve had our Winter Wonderland, Easter Eggstravaganza and we’ve just hosted our Summer Celebration on August 14th. After our Easter Eggstravaganza we received message after message asking us when our next event was going to be announced! Do you know how hard it was to keep the secret that we were in the middle of planning an event… trust us, it was very hard.

It never fails to amaze us how these events get busier and busier each time we host one. We were amazed at how fast the tickets to our Winter Wonderland sold out, the Easter Extravaganza was a definite bonus but the Summer Celebration absolutely blew us away. We reached our application limit faster than we ever had before! We make sure our events are completely free as we want everyone to be able to be at our events. We don’t want anybody missing out because of ticket prices. It’s also the reason everything is free when you get to our event. From face paint all the way to food and dessert. We have everything covered for you. A lot of people even left our event with 2-3 bags of free food all thanks to our local Community Shop. We’re lucky to have as many companies around us who care about our community having equal opportunities as much as we do.

It takes us a long time to go through all the applications. We have to go through the double applications, the applications that aren’t the correct age and applications that we can’t accept. We need to do all this before we send any confirmations out. It takes time, a lot of office time. But we have a team full of people that work long hours and as fast as they can to get these applications sorted and confirmations sent out. And we do it. We’re ready to open those doors on the day and we’re ready to have the best day.

This celebration we were joined by some amazing businesses, so we want to say a huge thanks to: DB Entertainment, DJ Warren Hansen, Imagination Gaming, Community Shop, Yorkshire Water, Warm Home Team, GlitterGem Face and Body Art, Ramp Up, Warm Home Team, Hows Thi Ticker, Credit Union, Reed, Brandease Events and Personalised Gifts and Dreams Events. The outside providers we have in each time amaze us with their willingness to help and create the best day ever. GlitterGem were as busy as always with a massive queue! Plus, Dreams Events made sure they came with enough popcorn to feed everybody! We’re so grateful for all of you for helping us organise, plan, set up and pull off a day we thought we could only dream of.

Our team brought along our Zorbing set, Archery Set and Giant Volleyball which kept everyone busy all day! We’ve definitely found that our Zorbing sessions are a massive hit, people absolutely love them. Can you believe we even had a climbing wall outside? Now, that was cool!

We plan our celebration events for months, making sure we’ve covered everything that could go wrong. Then after a few hours it’s all over with. We tidy everything away, have 5 minutes to re-cooperate after and then we’re planning the next one! We look forward to our events for months and then as soon as they’re done we’re absolutely gutted. But it’s the best time to start brain storming for our next event because we’re filled with ideas.

Some of your reviews we’re also brilliant. We always ask for reviews off you all as it’s the best way of helping us improve in anyway we can. Or as quite a loot of the reviews have said, we know we don’t need to change a thing.
